Commonly the soil on most projects is highly compacted or of poor quality, which makes the process of hydro seeding efforts harder than they need to be. Nations Hydroseeding wants your project to be as successful as possible, so we always recommend soil conditioning as a critical first step.
Hydro Seeding
Hydro seeding is the process of combining water, seed, tackifiers, soil amendments, fertilizer, and mulch inside a hydro seeder to create a mixture commonly referred to as a slurry. The hydro seeder keeps the slurry evenly mixed while applying the mixture to the intended surface under high pressure.

Erosion Control Blankets
Erosion control blankets consist of mulch (straw, coconut, wood, plastic) sewn between two nets. The netting and thread sandwich the mulch material together, and the blanket can then be rolled out and pinned to the ground with a variety of fasteners. The soil is prepared and seeded, then blankets are rolled out and pinned in place. Life span of Erosion Blankets can range from 3-12 months (temporary) 12-36 months (long term) or permanent (TRM). 100% biodegradable blankets are also available.
